The Winemakers of Vinifera 2021

Vignaioli 2021

Winemakers, both men and women, united by their choice to work with a deep focus on the land and the people who live there, incorporating sustainability costs into their business models to make their practices and products as sustainable as possible.

Authentic winemakers will accompany you on the wine journey you’re about to embark on, true cultural artisans who combine expertise and character. By sharing their choices and daily actions, they will tell you about their wine and land, because making wine also means combining culture and nature.

The producers participating in Vinifera 2021 will have many tasting proposals for you at their stands, and also bottles available for purchase, so you can enjoy a sip of Vinifera 2021 whenever you like!

The Food Artisans of Vinifera 2021

Cibo Vinifera 2021For Vinifera, we have chosen to rely on small yet significant producers and local restaurateurs to satisfy your appetites and curiosity. These are businesses made up of people who establish a deep connection with the land, shaped by past traditions while meeting contemporary needs: authentic flavors, short supply chains, conscious identities, a love for simplicity, a pursuit of quality, and a blend of knowledge and ideas.

The Guided Tastings of Vinifera 2021

In addition to the free tasting path, the Vinifera program includes guided tastings designed to delve deep into the soil where the roots of the art of winemaking lie. Discovering affinities and divergences across the Alpine region.

Saturday, May 29, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Affinities and Divergences. Teroldego and the Other Red Wines of the Dolomites

A tasting-comparison of neighboring vintages of three different expressions of Teroldego and three other red wines from the Dolomites. The wines will be served blind.

Participation fee: €15 | Mandatory reservation via pre-sale available here | Maximum number of participants: 15 people.

Sunday, May 30, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM | High-altitude Excursion PIWI: The Alpine Expressions of Resistant Grape Varieties

As viticulture rises to higher altitudes, partly due to climate change, some winemakers are investing in these alpine lands. By using resistant grape varieties, they practice mountain viticulture, aiming for sustainability and the healthiness of their products and the environment. These projects highlight the social value of viticulture and enhance regions that, due to their location, orography, and pedoclimatic conditions, allow for very diverse productions. Silvano Clementi (PIWI Trentino) and Alessandro Sala (PIWI Lombardia) will guide us on a mountain excursion into the world of PIWI. Four PIWI wines from the Alpine Arc will be tasted. Participation fee: €15 | Mandatory reservation via pre-sale available here | Maximum number of participants: 15 people.

Public Award “La Picca d’Oro”

For this edition, the Vinifera audience awarded the “La Picca d’Oro” prize to the best winemaker at the Market Exhibition on Saturday, May 29, and Sunday, May 30: Cantina El Zeremia. In previous editions, the public award went to Villa Persani (2018) and Malga Ribelle (2019).

To protect both exhibitors and visitors, Vinifera 2022 will take place in the indoor and outdoor spaces of Trento Fiere, exclusively reserved for Vinifera for the entire duration of the event. Visitor access will be subject to capacity limits, with priority given to visitors who have purchased their glass in advance.

For all visitors and producers, it will be mandatory to show the Super Green Pass, wear an FFP2 mask, maintain social distancing, and follow hygiene protocols.
